Since it's inception in 1999, the Great Portable Sawmill Shootout has been a highlight on everyone's calendar each year.
The Shootout originally pitted bandsaws, circle saws and chain saw mills against one another in a race for the fastest cut. While the competition aspect has been removed, cutting times and lumber recovery is still recorded. It remains a great way to see a range of portable sawmills cutting side by side, where you can easily compare the merits of each machine. |
