Recently our California State Rep Jeff Meyer and his two mates Kyle Saunderson and Bryan Hauan went out milling, in the first couple of hours they milled 1500+ board feet of Redwood. Then it was time for a break and there's no better place to sit then on freshly milled timber - Bryan is the one laying down.
They were milling on a 2007 8" 27hp Kohler WPF Large Frame. Jeff said, "The mill was awesome. Cut absolutely perfect." Even after it milled through some wire that was in the log.
The timber they milled is going to be used to build a deck for a cabin. They milled 2x8 posts for under the deck and 2x6 for the deck boards. The 1x8s they milled is to fix a fence at the cabin.
