| From Craig Blake . .. .
Early morning misty rain mixed with wood smoke from the campgrounds… yet another year in the mud at the Paul Bunyan Festival in Nelsonville Ohio. Thank goodness for rainsuits, and I hate to tell you what the rental car looked like after 3 days!!
Two weeks later, a return to summer for this New England boy. Sunny 96 degrees, boiled peanuts and pork barbecue …oh and a real catfish fry?? Yes, all at the Sunbelt Agriculural Exposition in Moultrie, Georgia. Boy was it hot!! I was happy to get off the plane and experience 48 degrees…
It was a busy month in October for Mark Strickland and myself….and we met a lot of you!! It is obvious with the timber on the ground from the hurricane damage here in the United States that there is enormous activity going on surrounding wood processing, and sawmills are on a lot of people’s minds. Thanks for stopping and saying hello!!
In this photo taken at Sunbelt, I (aka Captain) am taking a break to try the bench I started with Forestry Forum celebrities Tom Cadenhead (Tom) and Dan Gwaltney (DanG) of Florida.
