Play Bubbels and WIN!
Last month we threw out the challenge for people to try and beat the CEO's, Chris and Kerris, at a simple little game called Bubbels.
It was a very interesting run with players leapfrogging each other for the top spot, and scores going up and up to numbers that we didn't even think were possible when we first started.
Eventually Chris and Kerris took back top spots though, and now that we have officially closed the competiton, they have secured their place in Bubbel history. Well done to all those who participated, and who ended up seeing coloured bubbles popping in their sleep!
For those of you still trying to crack a good score, Kerris has put down some of her tips at the bottom of the page. Feel free to keep sending your scores through. |

• Bombard a path up the middle as primary priority - this allows you space to get higher-up stuff on the sides, killing lots of lower junk at a time and getting higher scores.
• Feel free to use side-bounces, and shoot up narrow channels that are in line with your gun.
• Follow the green lights on the right - that shows how many more non-bursts you're allowed before more bubbels push your screen down.
• Try to get up to the top of the screen as soon as possible, and completely eliminate at least two colours before the next row appears. Those colours won't come back, and it will be easier working with less colours.
• You can eliminate colours until there are only 3 left - be very careful to NOT go any less than 3 though.
• Stay here until you have a really high score, then purposefully eliminate ONE of the remaining 3 colours. Once you only have two colours, you will get into hyper drive.
• Once in hyper drive, you only have 5 minutes to complete the game.
• Spend approx 2 minutes removing balls, but ensuring you keep the same two colours before each new row is added. Once you've got passed 2 minutes, go for eliminating one of the colours. You will probably spend the next 2 minutes doing this. You HAVE to do this before the 5 mins is up!
• The minute you have eliminated one colour, one final shot will get rid of the last colour. The game is now over, but more importantly YOUR SCORE WILL NOW DOUBLE.
